Relay, refined
A polish release for the connection experience — a clear relay-mode switch, friendlier share-link handling, a steadier connection key, and a stable identity so each Mac stays a single desk.
New
- Relay-mode switch. Choose explicitly between the default forwarding relay and your own self-hosted proxy — now a clear segmented control that remembers your choice.
- Stable per-Mac identity. Each Mac is now keyed to its hardware, so reinstalls, new builds, and switching between the app and its helper all keep the same desk entry instead of creating duplicates.
Improved
- Share-link generation now retries automatically, and a failure shows clear, mode-aware guidance with a retry button instead of an endless “generating…” spinner.
- The connection key appears only once its pairing is ready — no more flickering through transient values — and is larger and easier to read.
- Simplified the Cloudflare TURN key setup to just the Key ID and API Token, with a link explaining where to get them.
- More reliable relay nodes: hardened heartbeat and usage reporting with request timeouts and retries, so a slow network blip can't stall a node.
Compatibility
- Requires SharkTTY 1.6 or later on your iPhone or iPad. If your app is older than 1.6, update it from the App Store, or download the earlier SharkTTY Desk 0.5.0 build instead.
