Shark InkNote for iPad
You take notes on iPad for two kinds of moments. One is a meeting or a lecture, where you need to write fast and still read it back later. The other is thinking out loud, organising loose ideas until they make sense. Shark InkNote puts both in one notebook.
You write by hand with Apple Pencil and type Markdown, each on its own page, and one book can mix the two in any order. No subscriptions, no account sign-up, and no advertisements.
Custom Metal Brush Engine
Metal Brush Engine
The writing feel comes from a custom Metal brush engine with seven pens built specifically for Apple Pencil.
Responds to pressure so your strokes taper naturally, giving distinct character to your handwriting.
Smooth, consistent lines for rapid note taking, paired with semi-transparent highlighting for key takeaways.
Shades smoothly with tilt and pressure, giving you the natural texture of graphite on paper.
Features expressive dry-brush streaks as speed increases, ideal for expressive calligraphic strokes.
Blooms with wet edges, layering translucent washes that build depth as colours overlap.
Builds up thick impasto strokes and picks colour back up from the canvas as you blend.
Stroke styles & responsiveness: Dotted, dashed, wavy, or hollow lines. Touch coalescing and prediction keep latency low, and you can zoom to any level without ink turning blurry.
Study & Research
Most of the time you are writing from something. The reference workspace opens a second item right next to your notes without switching away.
Open local PDFs up to 512 MB, remote HTTPS PDFs, or Markdown documents alongside your notebook.
Play local lecture videos up to 2 GB or direct HTTPS video streams while you jot down notes.
Split left-right, top-bottom, stack two layers with transparency adjustments, or use dedicated Cornell regions.

Multimedia & Sharing
When you cannot write fast enough, record it. Audio recordings attach directly to the page and can be automatically transcribed into text using system speech recognition.
Photos drop right into your page alongside your handwriting. When you are done, export a single page or the entire notebook as a high-fidelity PDF that prints and shares crisply.
Audio stays with the page; automatic speech-to-text via iPadOS Speech framework.
Insert reference photos and diagrams directly into your note pages.
Export single pages or complete books with crystal clear vector rendering.
Your notes are saved locally first. A custom checksummed, versioned binary format saves page by page, so a sudden close won't lose what you wrote.
To sync across devices or back up, place the entire library in iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, or a local NAS through the system Files app. Deleted items stay deleted via tombstones, and sync conflicts automatically retain an extra copy.
There are no accounts to create, no servers tracking your habits, and zero advertisements.
Not on the App Store yet. Planned as a $0.99 one-off purchase — no subscriptions, no ads, no accounts. Pricing in other regions will be set by the App Store and shown at checkout.
